Unleash your true potential, through the incredible discipline of parkour. In Wellington we run classes to accommodate all levels of experience. Parkour aims to develop its practitioners into strong, resilient and useful people. This is achieved primarily through physical training, using the methods of overcoming physical obstacles and facing one’s own physical limits.
Please check out our Facebook group and forums to learn more about our discipline, interact with the national parkour community, meet training partners, and find out about jam sessions. Also please feel free to direct any questions you may have to the local representative.
A two hour introduction to the incredible discipline of parkour, this introductory class is a one off class held on the first Sunday of each month for those who are new to parkour and/or New Zealand Parkour Association classes. We will cover some foundational movements of parkour as well as discuss what parkour is about. Attending this class is the prerequisite for attending a fundamentals class.
This fundamentals class aims to provide students with a general understanding of the fundamental techniques, training methods, and philosophy of parkour, at the same time as prescribing exercises to build a solid level of fitness and strength.
This is an invite only class due to its challenging technical, physical and mental nature. Please bring a large bag with heavy things (and a spare set of clothing if its raining).
The beyond basics class is for experienced students who have a firm grasp of the techniques and philosophy covered in the fundamentals class. In this class you will discover the spirit of parkour and you will learn to unleash your true potential.
