The New Zealand Parkour Association/Tauhokai Aotearoa is an incorporated society (not-for-profit organisation) and in order to provide our services we rely on membership, grants, class revenue and donations from you.

INCORPORATED SOCIETIES

An incorporated society is a separate legal entity in its own right, separate from its individual members. The incorporated society model was chosen to achieve the goals of the New Zealand Parkour Association set out in the statement of purpose. Incorporation allows our association to:

  • Continue regardless of changes to membership
  • Accept gifts and bequests
  • Buy and sell property
  • Enter into enforceable contracts
  • Sue or be sued.
  • Invest and borrow money

Incorporation also provides benefits for members and officers, including:

  • Protection against personal responsibility for any debts or liabilities incurred by the association
  • Limiting of personal liability for outstanding fees
