Origins
Date: 1st Sunday of every month Time: 1:30pm - 4:30pm. Location: Hagley Community College carpark Cost: $20 What: If you are interested in learning more about parkour, then this is for you. An introductory session designed to teach you about the origins of Parkour, this class will cover foundational movements, philosophy and conditioning exercises. Origins is a prerequisite for attending the Fundamentals block course. If you are unable to make it on a Saturday, or would like to get a group together to do the class on a day other than is scheduled, contact us to work something else out.
Fundamentals
Date: Every Sunday (excluding school holidays) Time: 2:30pm - 4:30pm Location: Various; meet by the Bridge of Remembrance, Cashel Mall side. Every 5th week, meet at St Martins school (Centaurus Park) - see below. Cost: $10 What: This 5 week block course is for those who want to learn more about parkour in a class setting. Each of the 5 weeks builds on the Origins class, and can be started at any stage of the course. Each class focuses on a fundamental philosophy of parkour and a relating obstacle or environment. Once the course has been completed, practitioners are encouraged to train in other settings (though some might opt to attend the course again).
Kids
Date: Every Friday (excluding school holidays) Time: 3:45pm - 5:00pm Location: Various; meet by the Bridge of Remembrance, Cashel Mall side. Cost: $10, $70 for the term What: We have recognised a need for classes for younger children, who are not old enough to manage their own training or join in a casual jam without supervision. As such, we introduce a new class for children aged ~8 - 13 years old (ages are flexible, and parents are welcome to stay if younger children want to take part). Classes will be fun-filled, interactive and tailored to the appropriate age group.
